Team ZZ2F will be active from Tinharé Island, SA-080 during January 10-11, 2024. QRV on 40-20-15-10m; SSB & FT8. QSL via PP2LA.

Informations J38R – Grenada

Preparations are ongoing and well underway for a March 3-22, 2024 DXpedition to Grenada. The group has expanded and as such we have secured a second house / QTH at the ocean in Sauteurs to
accommodate for more operators. We will be active with three high power stations and one for FT8-RTTY from 10-160m. For the lowbands we have RX antennas.
We’ll miss the expertise and company of our good friend Ghis ON5NT, who had to reschedule due to a newly emerged priority. Other experienced operators
DXpeditioners stepped in and the group now comprises of ON4HIL, ON4MA, ON5RA, ON5TN, ON6CC and ON7RU.
The J38R callsign has been assigned by NTRC. Our website will be online in the next few days – stay tuned.

Les préparatifs sont en cours et bien avancés pour une expédition DX du 3 au 22 mars 2024 à la Grenade. Le groupe s’est agrandi et à ce titre nous avons sécurisé une deuxième maison / QTH au bord de l’océan à Sauteurs pour
accueillir plus d’opérateurs. Nous serons actifs avec trois centrales de grande puissance et une pour FT8-RTTY de 10 à 160 m. Pour les bandes basses, nous avons des antennes RX.
L’expertise et la compagnie de notre bon ami Ghis ON5NT nous manqueront, qui a dû reporter en raison d’une nouvelle priorité. Autres opérateurs expérimentés

Informations ZD7NAN – Île Sainte-Hélène

At 93 years old, a retired school teacher, I hold the distinction of being the oldest ham radio operator ever on the picturesque island of St. Helena in
the South Atlantic Ocean. Being born on St. Helena in 1930 adds an extra layer to my identity, making me a true Saint!
My journey into amateur radio culminated in obtaining my licence in December 2023. This achievement follows a prolonged fascination with amateur radio, during
which I spent countless hours absorbing the transmissions of a close family member operating his radio.
Though I have recently attained full licence as a ham radio operator, my enthusiasm is undiminished. I plan to enhance my involvement by first helping ZD7GWM
set up our newly acquired DX-Patrol full duplex ground station!
Anticipating the year 2024 and beyond, I look forward to filling my log with contacts from across the globe!
For those perusing my QRZ page, I highly recommend joining our ZD7 St. Helena Facebook group to connect with fellow radio enthusiasts and other ZD7 here on our wonderful but tiny little island.

À 93 ans, professeur à la retraite, j’ai la distinction d’être le plus ancien opérateur de radioamateur de tous les temps sur l’île pittoresque de Sainte-Hélène en
l’océan Atlantique Sud. Être né à Sainte-Hélène en 1930 ajoute une couche supplémentaire à mon identité, faisant de moi un vrai saint !
Mon parcours vers la radio amateur a abouti à l’obtention de ma licence en décembre 2023. Cette réalisation fait suite à une fascination prolongée pour la radio amateur, au cours
pendant lequel j’ai passé d’innombrables heures à absorber les transmissions d’un membre proche de ma famille utilisant sa radio.
Bien que j’aie récemment obtenu une licence complète d’opérateur radioamateur, mon enthousiasme est intact. Je compte renforcer mon implication en aidant d’abord ZD7GWM
installez notre nouvelle station au sol full duplex DX-Patrol !
En anticipant l’année 2024 et au-delà, j’ai hâte de remplir mon journal de contacts du monde entier !
