NOVEMBER 14, 2021 – Over a year has passed since this initial info was released. On the ground support is still available and new preparations will begin in the early new year with a view to activating AF-115 in the last quarter of 2022. A lot of planning is needed. The callsign may also change. Further updates to follow.
AUGUST 25, 2020 – Earlier this year, an experienced IOTA team were issued with the callsign ST6SIT. Their intention was to activate Mukawwar island, AF-115 – a never before activated IOTA in the Red Sea, off Sudan. Paperwork, on the ground support and planning was ongoing then Covid-19 struck. Like everyone and everything else, the team will wait until the Covid situation improves globally with a view to eventually renewing the ST6SIT license and restarting plans.

14 NOVEMBRE 2021 – Plus d’un an s’est écoulé depuis la publication de ces premières informations. Sur le terrain, le soutien est toujours disponible et de nouveaux préparatifs commenceront
au début de la nouvelle année en vue d’activer l’AF-115 au dernier trimestre 2022. Une grande planification est nécessaire. L’indicatif peut également changer. D’autres mises à jour suivront.
25 AOT 2020 – Plus tôt cette année, une équipe IOTA expérimentée a reçu l’indicatif ST6SIT. Leur intention était d’activer l’île de Mukawwar, AF-115 – une IOTA jamais activée auparavant
dans la mer Rouge, au large du Soudan. La paperasserie, le soutien sur le terrain et la planification étaient en cours, puis Covid-19 a frappé. Comme tout le monde et tout le reste,
l’équipe attendra que la situation Covid s’améliore globalement en vue de renouveler à terme la licence ST6SIT et de redémarrer les plans.
