Macao 2018 DXpedition

PRESS RELEASE # 01

After 8 months of preparation, we are proud to announce a DXpedition to Macao (XX9) from March 9th, 2018 to March 17th, 2018.

Although this DXpedition does not count on donations, participants will be supporting all costs for transporting 215 kgs of equipment, as well as costs with air tickets, accommodation, meals and so on.

The team will be formed by XX9LT Bom, PP1CZ Leo, PR7AB Junior, PY2MC Claudio, PY2SEX Alex, PY2WAS Alex, PY3MM Miguel, PY4BZ Fernando, PY5HSD Herminio, PY6RT Beto and PY7XC Jim.

CTT (Post Office and Telecommunications Agency of Macao) has not confirmed our call sign yet, but all forms have already been signed and submitted and Bom is supporting the team with it locally. It is expected in the next days and will be communicated accordingly.

This team plans to work from 10m to 80m. 160m may be eventually worked as a non-priority band. Three stations will work 24 hours, provided that 1 station will be focusing digital modes, especially RTTY and FT8. We will be counting on 6 antennas (2 beams, 2 verticals, 1 folded dipole and 1 sloper double bazooka). There will be a spare transceiver in case of replacement need.

This DXpedition will count on real time updating log to Club Log. OQRS system at Club Log will be made available to QSL orders by bureau or direct under the management of PP1CZ.

It is important to highlight that a bootcamp testing operation was held in the first week of September/2017 to test all equipments and potential interactions among the stations at the super contest site of PX2A.

Additional care will be taken with preferable QRGs to prevent overlapping as regards other big dx-peditions at that time, such as Spratly Is and Easter Is.

Après 8 mois de préparation, nous sommes fiers d’annoncer un DXpedition à Macao (XX9) du 9 Mars, 2018 au 17 Mars, ici 2018.

Bien que ce DXpedition ne compte pas sur les dons, les participants soutiendront tous les frais de transport de 215 kg d’équipement, ainsi que les coûts des billets d’avion, l’hébergement, les repas et ainsi de suite.

L’équipe sera formée par XX9LT Bom, PP1CZ Leo, PR7AB Junior PY2MC Claudio, PY2SEX Alex, Alex PY2WAS, PY3MM Miguel, PY4BZ Fernando, PY5HSD Herminio, PY6RT Beto et PY7XC Jim.

CTT (bureau de poste et des télécommunications Agence de Macao) n’a pas encore confirmé notre signe d’appel, mais toutes les formes ont déjà été signés et soumis et Bom soutient l’équipe avec localement. Il est prévu dans les prochains jours et sera communiquée en conséquence.

Cette équipe prévoit de travailler de 10m à 80m. 160m peut être éventuellement travaillé en tant que groupe non prioritaire. Trois stations travailleront 24 heures, à condition que la station 1 se concentrera en particulier les modes numériques, RTTY et FT8. Nous comptera sur 6 antennes (2, 2 poutres verticales, 1 dipôle replié et une sloper à double bazooka). Il y aura un émetteur-récepteur de rechange en cas de besoin de remplacement.

Cette DXpedition comptera sur la mise à jour en temps réel journal Club Log. système OQRS au Club Log sera mis à la disposition QSL commandes par bureau ou directement sous la direction de PP1CZ.

Il est important de souligner qu’une opération de test de bootcamp a eu lieu dans la première semaine de Septembre / 2017 pour tester tous les équipements et les interactions possibles entre les stations au super site du concours de PX2A.

sera pris en charge supplémentaire QRGs préférables pour éviter le chevauchement en ce qui concerne les autres grandes expéditions DX à ce moment-là, comme Spratly Is et Easter Is.
