A major earthquake caused damage in Turkey and Greece Friday.
The quake was given a preliminary magnitude rating of 7.0 by the U.S. Geological Survey. It was centered in the Aegean Sea about 8.5 miles northeast of Neon Karlovasion, on the north side of the island of Samos, off the coast of Turkey.
