[NEWS UPDATE] – Here’s the very latest info from Phil:
Plans moving along for a permanent QTH and it’s hoped that I’d move in next week some time. After that setup will be relatively quick. Looks like I won’t have to deal with being in a Hotel and I am confident the new QTH will also allow me to put up some good multiband HF antennas. Will update when and if I move, hopefully soon. I got a few odds and end to get sorted in the meantime.
[JULY 29] – Phil has now arrived Nauru and updates with the following info:
I am now physically located in Nauru but I am at temporary accommodation for the moment. I arrived here last Saturday (July 22). I could probably get on 10m with mobile whip where I am but I really don’t want unpack all my gear just yet. Plus, I’d have do some ariel gymnastics to get something on the roof. However, I am also first week on a new job with lots to do so thats my priority for now. Will update as I go. If I get really bored tomorrow / soon you might see me pop up on 10m FT8.

Je pourrais probablement monter sur 10 m avec un fouet mobile là où je suis, mais je ne veux vraiment pas déballer tout mon équipement pour l’instant. De plus, j’aurais dû faire de la gymnastique aérienne pour obtenir quelque chose sur le toit. Cependant, je suis aussi la première semaine d’un nouvel emploi avec beaucoup à faire, c’est donc ma priorité pour l’instant. Mettra à jour au fur et à mesure. Si je m’ennuie vraiment demain / bientôt, vous pourriez me voir apparaître sur 10m FT8.
